The North Carolina GenWeb project is a website built by volunteers and provides resources in genealogy research. Whether a beginner or a master researcher, something can be found.
The NCGenweb project is a part of the USGenWeb
Project, striving to provide
free genealogy resources to researchers everywhere. The USGenWeb project designed
to ensure free content for your genealogy research.
Nationally, each State has a State Coordinator, with each state is divided into regions (with
region coordinators) then by counties, which have a county coordinator.
Each North Carolina County has a volunteer
coordinator, who is tasked with the responsibility of adding information to the
site at a minimum of every six months.
Types of subjects that might be found on
USGenWeb sites include: County history, submitted genealogy records, queries,
look-up and how to get started in genealogy research.
